Body Care

Body care is the most forgiving category on the site, because the skin on arms, legs and back is thicker and less reactive than the face — which is why sugar and coffee scrubs live here and not in the face-mask pages. You will find scrubs, whipped butters, oils, deodorant creams, after-sun soothers and a few seasonal cooling mists. The oil and butter recipes keep for months; anything with water or fresh food goes in the fridge and is used within three days.

We keep essential oils to a small, stated number of drops and say clearly when a recipe should not be used on broken, sunburnt or freshly shaved skin. None of these will firm, detox, slim or fade anything, and the pages say so. What they do is leave skin feeling smooth and looking softly lit after a shower, and give you a reason to slow down for five minutes. Patch test new blends, especially ones with essential oils, and go gently with scrubs — once or twice a week is plenty.
