Glow like a princess — with recipes from your kitchen

Charming DIY beauty rituals — masks, scrubs, hair silk and bath soaks — made from honey, roses, oats and love. Most take under ten minutes — a few ask for an overnight rest. Every ingredient is one you can pronounce.

Start with what you feel

Tonight, what does your skin actually need?

Most of us come here at the end of a long day with one specific thing on our mind. Start there — every link below opens the recipes that answer it, newest first.

First time here

New to this? Three minutes, then you are ready

1

Patch test, every time

A little of the finished mix on your inner arm, left 24 hours. It feels like a fuss until the one time it saves your face. Natural does not mean gentle — honey, oats and clay are all things people react to.

2

Start with something forgiving

A simple oat-and-honey mask or a plain oil balm is hard to get wrong. Save the acids, the scrubs and the essential oils for once you know how your skin answers back.

3

Make small, use fresh

Nothing here contains a preservative. Anything with water, tea, milk or fruit in it lives about three days in the fridge — the cold slows things down, it does not keep them safe. When in doubt, pour it away.

What a kitchen recipe can and cannot do

These rituals are lovely for comfort, softness and ten quiet minutes to yourself. They will not treat acne, melasma, eczema or rosacea, they will not replace sunscreen, and nothing you stir in a bowl will change your skin permanently. If something hurts, stings or is getting worse, stop and see a doctor or a dermatologist — that is not a failure, it is just the right tool for the job.

Who writes this

Natural doesn't automatically mean gentle

Lemon can sting, cinnamon can burn, and fresh mixes spoil. Before your first ritual, read our honest guide to patch-testing, storage and knowing when a recipe isn't for you.
