Strawberry Cheek Glow Tint
A rosy DIY tint for lips and cheeks — strawberry lends a soft pink stain while coconut oil keeps it creamy and kind to the skin.

You will need
- 2 ripe strawberries, mashed and strained
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 tsp beeswax
- 1 drop vanilla extract
The ritual
- Mash the strawberries and strain for smooth pink juice.
- Melt coconut oil and beeswax together over a warm water bath.
- Off the heat, stir in the strawberry juice and vanilla until blended, then pour into a tiny tin and let it set.
- Dab on lips and the apples of the cheeks with a fingertip; blend for a soft flush.
Why these ingredients
- 2 ripe strawberries, mashed and strained
- The colour — a soft, natural berry stain that reads as a flush rather than makeup.
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- The base that carries the colour and lets you blend it with a fingertip.
- 1/2 tsp beeswax
- Sets the balm so it stays a tint instead of sliding off your cheekbone.
- 1 drop vanilla extract
- A faint sweet scent, nothing more.
Easy swaps
- 2 strawberries → Raspberries, or a pinch of beetroot powder for stronger colour.
- 1 tbsp coconut oil → Shea butter, whipped soft.
- 1/2 tsp beeswax → Candelilla wax (vegan).
- 1 drop vanilla → Leave it out.
Keep it clean
Mix with freshly washed hands and clean, dry bowls and spoons. If a recipe is stored, use a jar or bottle washed in hot soapy water and dried completely, and never dip wet fingers into the batch.
Storage & when to let go
Sealed tin, fridge, up to 1 week (fresh fruit). Keep cool so it won't melt or spoil.
What to expect — honestly
A gentle wash of colour that looks best on bare or lightly-made-up skin — sheer, not a replacement for cream blush. Fresh fruit means it doesn't keep: make it small, keep it in the fridge, and bin it after a few days rather than risking a spoiled jar on your face. Patch test, and skip it if coconut oil breaks you out.
Common questions
Does it stain badly?
It's a soft buildable stain, not a permanent dye; wipes off easily with cleanser.
Will it survive eating?
It's a natural tint — expect to reapply after meals, like any lip color.
