Pumpkin Seed Glow Serum
Green-gold pumpkin seed oil is rich and slightly nutty, jojoba thins it into something wearable, and two drops of vitamin E help the blend stay fresh in the bottle.

You will need
- 2 tsp pumpkin seed oil
- 1 tsp jojoba oil
- 2 drops vitamin E oil
The ritual
- Pour the pumpkin seed and jojoba oils into a dark dropper bottle.
- Add the two drops of vitamin E oil.
- Cap and roll gently until the colour is an even green-gold.
- Press two or three drops over damp skin at night.
- Give it five minutes to settle before your face meets the pillow.
Why these ingredients
- 2 tsp pumpkin seed oil
- A rich, deeply coloured oil that leaves dry-feeling skin looking softer, and gives the blend its weight and character.
- 1 tsp jojoba oil
- Jojoba thins the pumpkin seed oil and helps it spread evenly instead of sitting in one heavy patch.
- 2 drops vitamin E oil
- Two drops slow the seed oil going rancid, which matters because cold-pressed seed oils turn faster than most.
Easy swaps
- 2 tsp pumpkin seed oil → hemp seed oil for a similar green colour and light richness.
- 1 tsp jojoba oil → squalane or fractionated coconut oil for the same thinning effect.
- 2 drops vitamin E oil → rosemary antioxidant extract, or leave it out and use the blend within two months.
Keep it clean
Mix with freshly washed hands and clean, dry bowls and spoons. If a recipe is stored, use a jar or bottle washed in hot soapy water and dried completely, and never dip wet fingers into the batch.
Storage & when to let go
Three to six months in a dark bottle in a cool cupboard. The vitamin E slows the oils turning, but a rancid, paint-like smell means the batch is done.
What to expect — honestly
Skin looks softer and more polished by morning, with the dry, papery look eased. It is surface comfort and shine rather than a change in the skin itself. Two or three drops is genuinely enough, and more will simply sit on top.
Common questions
Why is my serum green?
That is the pumpkin seed oil, which is deep green-gold in the bottle. The tint disappears on skin within a few minutes and does not stain, though it can mark pale bedding.
Can I use it in the morning?
You can, but the colour and the richness suit evening better. If you do wear it early, use two drops at most and let it settle before sunscreen.
