Almond Rosehip Under-Eye Oil
A light nightly oil where sweet almond softens the thin skin under the eye, rosehip adds a richer note, and vitamin E helps the little blend keep longer.

You will need
- 1 tbsp sweet almond oil
- 3 drops rosehip oil
- 1 drop vitamin E oil
The ritual
- Combine all three oils in a small clean dropper bottle.
- Cap it and roll the bottle between your palms to mix.
- Warm one drop per eye between your ring fingertips.
- Tap it gently along the bone under the eye, not on the lid.
- Let it settle for a minute before your pillow, and blot any excess.
Why these ingredients
- 1 tbsp sweet almond oil
- A light, low-fuss base that spreads far without dragging, which matters on skin as thin as the under-eye area.
- 3 drops rosehip oil
- Richer and quicker to spoil, so a few drops give the blend its character without shortening its life too much.
- 1 drop vitamin E oil
- Slows the oils turning rancid and adds a slightly heavier, more cushioned feel to the finished blend.
Easy swaps
- 1 tbsp sweet almond oil → jojoba or squalane, both good choices if nuts are out.
- 3 drops rosehip oil → argan oil for something more stable, or leave it out.
- 1 drop vitamin E oil → skip it and use the blend within six weeks instead.
Keep it clean
Mix with freshly washed hands and clean, dry bowls and spoons. If a recipe is stored, use a jar or bottle washed in hot soapy water and dried completely, and never dip wet fingers into the batch.
Storage & when to let go
Keeps about three months in a dark glass bottle away from heat. Bin it if the smell turns sharp or crayon-like.
What to expect — honestly
The area feels softer and fine dry lines look less obvious first thing, mostly because the skin is less parched. This is comfort and surface smoothing, not a change in pigment or structure. Anything you want permanently altered under the eye needs a clinic, not an oil.
Common questions
Will it get rid of dark circles?
No. Well-conditioned skin reflects light a little better so shadows look softer, but the colour under the eye comes from sleep, genes and blood vessels.
Can I wear it under makeup?
It is better at night. Under concealer the oil tends to make everything slide and crease within an hour or two, which defeats the point.
