Rosemary Mint Hair Growth Rinse
A scalp-tingling herbal rinse that boosts circulation for stronger growth — rosemary energizes the roots while peppermint leaves the scalp fresh and alive.

You will need
- 2 tbsp dried rosemary (or 4 fresh sprigs)
- 1 tbsp dried mint leaves
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
The ritual
- Simmer rosemary and mint in the water for 10 minutes, then cool completely and strain.
- Stir in the apple cider vinegar.
- After shampooing, pour slowly over the scalp and hair as a final rinse.
- Massage the scalp 2 minutes; leave in, do not rinse out. Use 3 times a week.
Why these ingredients
- 2 tbsp dried rosemary (or 4 fresh sprigs)
- Rosemary is the herb most often studied for scalp use; findings are early and mixed, and any effect shows up over months, not days.
- 1 tbsp dried mint leaves
- Gives the cool, tingly finish that makes the rinse feel alive on the scalp.
- 2 cups water
- The carrier — it turns the herbs into something you can actually pour.
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Helps the hair cuticle lie flat, so hair looks glossier after rinsing.
Easy swaps
- 2 tbsp rosemary → Fresh rosemary sprigs, simmered a little longer.
- 1 tbsp mint → Peppermint tea bags, or leave it out for sensitive scalps.
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar → Lemon juice, or skip it if your scalp is dry.
- 2 cups water → Cooled green tea, for extra slip.
Keep it clean
Mix with freshly washed hands and clean, dry bowls and spoons. If a recipe is stored, use a jar or bottle washed in hot soapy water and dried completely, and never dip wet fingers into the batch.
Storage & when to let go
Fridge, up to 1 week in a sealed bottle. Shake before use.
What to expect — honestly
The honest version: a scalp rinse plus two minutes of massage feels wonderful and can leave hair shinier straight away. Hair growth is a slow, largely genetic and hormonal business — no rinse regrows hair on a schedule, and sudden or patchy shedding is a reason to see a doctor, not to buy more rosemary. Give it 8–12 weeks alongside decent sleep and food, and judge it then.
Common questions
How fast will hair grow?
Rosemary is studied for supporting growth over months, not days — think 8-12 weeks of steady use plus healthy eating.
Will it dry my hair?
Keep the rinse to the scalp; the ACV is diluted enough not to dry the lengths.
