Rosehip Yogurt Glow Mask
A ten minute mask where the lactic acid in yogurt loosens dull surface flakes, rosehip powder adds colour and soft grit, and honey keeps the whole thing from feeling tight.

You will need
- 1 tsp rosehip powder
- 1 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp rice flour
The ritual
- Stir the rosehip powder and rice flour together to break up any clumps.
- Add the yogurt and honey and mix into a smooth, spreadable paste.
- Spread a thin layer over clean skin, staying well clear of the eyes.
- Leave ten minutes, until it feels tacky but not fully dry.
- Rinse with lukewarm water, using small circles as you go for a light polish.
Why these ingredients
- 1 tsp rosehip powder
- Ground fruit that gives the mask its colour and a fine, soft grit, so rinsing doubles as a very light polish.
- 1 tbsp plain yogurt
- Its lactic acid loosens the dull surface layer, while the fat in it keeps the whole thing from feeling harsh.
- 1 tsp honey
- Holds water in the mask so your skin stays comfortable for the full ten minutes instead of tightening halfway through.
- 1 tsp rice flour
- Thickens the paste so it stays where you put it, and adds a little more slip when you rinse in circles.
Easy swaps
- 1 tsp rosehip powder → hibiscus powder, or a teaspoon of tomato pulp for similar colour and mild acidity.
- 1 tbsp plain yogurt → kefir, or coconut yogurt if dairy does not suit you, though it is less acidic.
- 1 tsp honey → vegetable glycerin, which is vegan and does the same humectant job.
- 1 tsp rice flour → oat flour or plain cornflour for exactly the same thickening.
Keep it clean
Mix with freshly washed hands and clean, dry bowls and spoons. If a recipe is stored, use a jar or bottle washed in hot soapy water and dried completely, and never dip wet fingers into the batch.
Storage & when to let go
Single use only. Mix it in the bowl you will apply it from, since yogurt left at room temperature separates and sours within the hour.
What to expect — honestly
Skin looks brighter and feels smoother straight afterwards, and makeup goes on better that evening. The glow is surface exfoliation plus hydration, and it lasts a day or two. Pigmentation stays exactly where it is; evening that out is a job for a professional.
Common questions
Can I leave it on longer for more effect?
No. Ten minutes is where the benefit sits, and longer simply means more irritation for the same result. Twice a week is plenty for most skin.
What is the rosehip powder actually doing?
Adding fine soft grit and a rosy colour, plus some vitamin C, very little of which survives contact with skin. Treat it as texture and colour.
