You will need

The ritual

  1. Mash the kiwi to a smooth pulp with a fork, removing any hard core.
  2. Stir in yogurt, honey and rice flour to a soft paste.
  3. Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
  4. Rest 10 minutes — a light tingle is normal for vitamin-C fruit — then rinse cool and pat dry.
Glow tip ✦ Use a slightly soft, very ripe kiwi — it is sweeter, gentler and easier to mash.

Why these ingredients

1 ripe kiwi, mashed
A vitamin-C-rich fruit that gives a fresh, lightly tingly polish.
1 tbsp plain yogurt
Cool and creamy — it softens the mix and feels calming on skin.
1 tsp honey
A natural humectant — it attracts and holds moisture, so skin feels soft and supple.
1 tsp rice flour
A very fine, soft powder used in classic Asian polishing rituals.

Easy swaps

Keep it clean

Mix with freshly washed hands and clean, dry bowls and spoons. If a recipe is stored, use a jar or bottle washed in hot soapy water and dried completely, and never dip wet fingers into the batch.

Storage & when to let go

Fresh fruit mask — make and use the same day. Leftovers do not keep, even chilled.

Allergy check ✦ Kiwi is a real food allergen — skip this mask entirely if you have any kiwi or latex allergy. Patch test on your inner arm 24h before first use. If tingling turns to burning, rinse off immediately.
Take care ✦ Contains fresh dairy, which spoils quickly. Make only what you'll use now, refrigerate any stated leftovers, and discard at the first change in smell. Skip if you have a dairy allergy.
Take care ✦ Made with fresh produce, so it spoils fast and fruit acids/enzymes can tingle. Use fresh, washed produce, make small batches, and don't keep leftovers beyond what the storage note says. Stop if tingling turns into burning.
Take care ✦ Fruit enzymes give a mild acid-like polish. Don't extend the resting time, don't combine with other exfoliants the same day, and be gentle with sun exposure afterwards.
Patch-test first ✦ Apply a little of the finished mix to your inner arm and wait 24 hours. No reaction is a good sign, though no patch test can rule out every reaction. Never use a recipe on broken or irritated skin, keep everything out of your eyes, and stop at once if anything stings or burns.

Who should skip this one

What to expect — honestly

A fresh mask can leave skin feeling softer, smoother and comfortably clean for the rest of the day. It won't change your skin long-term, treat any condition, or replace what a dermatologist does — results and tolerance vary from person to person.

Common questions

Can I use it every day?

No — fruit enzymes are mild acids. Twice a week is the sweet spot for glow without irritation.

My skin is sensitive — can I still try it?

Halve the kiwi and double the yogurt for a much gentler version, and keep it on only 5 minutes.
